After treatment, fertility may return, decrease, or stop permanently.
What you can do:
Request a fertility evaluation with a reproductive endocrinologist.
Ask about tests: AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone), FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone), LH Luteinizing Hormone, estradiol (a type of estrogen), and pelvic ultrasound for ovarian reserve.
Wait at least 12 months after chemotherapy before trying to conceive.
If your periods don’t return within a year, or are irregular, get hormone testing.
