For side effects such as hot flashes, bone & joint pain, fatigue, brain fog and metabolic/weight changes, here are some of the evidence-based options:

  1. Exercise & healthy dietary changes can help with many of the side effects
  2. Mindful based programs
  3. Medications to help with hot flashes
  4. Cognitive based therapies
  5. Acupuncture
  6. Supplements such as vitamin D
  7. Sleep hygiene strategies (see earlier slide on sleep)
